Valet is an open-source MCP toolkit that gives an agent like Claude Code real trading ability. One server connects to Interactive Brokers for US stocks — including fractional buys by dollar amount via cashQty — and another trades crypto spot on ~100 exchanges through CCXT, with exchange-native stop orders.

Both run paper-first with fail-closed safety guards on every order: a hard live lock, dry-run mode, per-order and daily spend caps, and short-selling disabled by default. IBKR needs a funded Pro account and roughly daily manual login; the crypto side runs unattended off a persistent API key.
