How we treat uncertain product data
The directory is a working research dataset, not a certification program. Every claim is allowed to be incomplete, but uncertainty must be legible and a dated primary source must exist before a record is called verified.
Dataset scope
The current snapshot contains 99 manually maintained profiles. It is a coverage sample of products found by the directory, not an estimate of every product in the market. Category counts are unique by profile; market and exchange counts overlap.
“Agentic” means a profile describes a system able to plan or take actions across a workflow. “AI” covers tools that apply machine learning or language models without the same action-taking claim. This classification describes product positioning, not model quality.
Three evidence states
Verified
A dated primary source from the product owner, official documentation, regulator, or maintained first-party repository supports the displayed capability.
Reported
The directory record contains the claim and a product website, but the capability has not yet completed the primary-source pass. Reported is not a weaker synonym for verified.
Needs review
The record lacks enough source context, has aged past the review window, or contains a conflict that requires manual resolution. Missing values remain “not reviewed”; they are never silently converted to “no.”
Verification pass
- Open the product owner’s current documentation or announcement.
- Confirm the capability, access level, hosting model, and approval behavior separately.
- Record the source URL and the date checked with the profile.
- Prefer explicit “unknown” over an inference when the source is silent.
- Recheck volatile capabilities within 120 days and after major product launches.
The local pnpm research:audit command checks schema completeness and flags malformed verification records. It does not pretend that a successful HTTP response proves a product claim; capability review remains manual.
Current primary sources
3 MCP records currently have dated primary-source verification. The matrix will expand this set rather than backfilling certainty.

Corrections
Send the profile URL, the field that is wrong, and a primary source to hello@agentictradingtools.com. Corrections change the underlying record, so the report and matrix update together.
