Gemini

First agentic trading via MCP on a regulated US exchange: connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI to trade crypto, monitor markets, and manage risk.

Gemini launched Agentic Trading on April 27, 2026, billing it as the first agentic trading tool available directly through a regulated US-based exchange. It works over the Model Context Protocol (MCP): Gemini integrated its full trading API with MCP, so anything the API can do — placing orders, reading market trends, managing positions — an agent like Claude or ChatGPT can do on your behalf from a natural-language prompt.

At launch Gemini shipped modular Trading Skills, pre-built functions agents can call: Get Market Data (real-time prices and order-book depth), Find the Spread (bid-ask for any pair), and Retrieve Candles (historical OHLCV for pattern recognition and backtesting). The skills library is planned to expand. Agents connect through the Gemini Developer Platform under your own API scoping, and Gemini notes the user remains responsible for the strategy and risk limits the agent is given.

Gemini is a New York-based exchange regulated by the NYDFS. In 2026 it exited the EU, UK, and Australia to focus on the US market.
