Interactive Brokers opened its AI integration to Claude in June 2026 and, on July 28, 2026, expanded it to any MCP-compatible tool via api.ibkr.com/v1/api/mcp-public — compatible with Claude Code, Cursor, Perplexity, Windsurf, ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok (Gemini coming).
The defining safety property: "Instructions never become orders automatically." The AI produces instructions and the client reviews each one, converting it to an order in any IBKR platform. IBKR keeps authentication (no credentials pass to the AI), requires explicit per-account authorization, and you control what the AI can access.
