MetaMask launched its Agent Wallet on June 8, 2026, as a self-custodial wallet built for AI agents to act on-chain. Agents can execute token swaps, perpetual futures, prediction markets, and liquidity provision on Ethereum-compatible chains and Hyperliquid, while you keep full control of private keys via an exportable seed phrase.
Every transaction runs through a mandatory security pipeline — spending limits, protocol allowlists, 2FA for flagged moves, and transaction simulation and threat detection. It supports agent frameworks including OpenClaw, Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor. MetaMask Agent Wallet is execution and custody infrastructure for your own agent.
